Detailed Production Process
Our comprehensive 16-step production process ensures the highest quality custom silicone products from concept to delivery.
Design Concept
Define your design concept and create 3D structure of silicone products based on your ideas: including required dimensions, shape, color and any specific features or patterns you want to display on silicone products.
Material Selection
Choose LSR or solid silicone as base material, ensuring it meets safety and quality standards.
Prototype Development
Create prototypes or samples of custom silicone products. This step allows you to evaluate their design and functionality before mass production.
Custom Printing or Branding
If you want your silicone products to feature logos, artwork or branding, the customization process may include CNC on your tools, screen printing, heat transfer, in-mold decoration or other methods to apply your patterns to the casing.
Mold and Tooling
Develop products or tools based on approved prototypes. These products will be used in the manufacturing process to produce multiple silicone products with consistent shape and size.
Material Mixing and Preparation
Mix silicone materials according to manufacturer specifications. This includes mixing silicone with any required additives and pigments to achieve the desired color.
Molding and Shaping
Inject or place prepared silicone material into products. Depending on the design, this may involve Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) molding, co-injection drip molding, or silicone compression molding.
Curing and Cooling
Allow silicone products to cure and cool inside the product. Curing time may vary depending on the type of silicone used and product thickness.
Demolding
Remove cured silicone products from the product, ensuring they maintain their intended shape.
Initial Quality Control
Check silicone products for any defects such as bubbles, irregularities or inconsistencies in color or shape. Any defective silicone cases are usually discarded.
Post Processing
After silicone baby cases are made, post-processing and treatment are required, such as trimming, grinding, polishing, spraying, inspection, etc.
Secondary Curing
Any products that pass inspection must undergo secondary curing. Bake in oven for 2-4 hours to meet FDA or LFGB standards. LSR silicone products may not require this process.
Logo or Pattern Printing
Engrave or print patterns with laser. Sometimes, you can place silicone product logos directly on silicone tools.
Cleaning and Packaging
Clean silicone products to remove any residues or impurities. Then package according to your specifications, which may include specific quantities of case sets or individual packaging.
Final Quality Control and Testing
After all silicone baby case production processes are completed, arrange final quality control of products before delivery.
Storage and Shipping
Completed OQC personalized and branded silicone products are stored in warehouse, ready to ensure safe arrival at your destination. Typical shipping times: DHL/UPS/FedEx 3-8 days, Air freight 10-15 days, Sea freight 30-50 days.
